LA Micro's Guide to Keeping Toasty in the Office

Dark freezing cold mornings are familiar to us all right now, but do the shivers follow you all the way to your desk?

If you’re nodding yes to this with uncontrollable chattering teeth, look no further, we Micro Members have thought of the best unconventional ways to help you keep warm and cosy at the office during the long winter months.

  1. Make a Fort – Heating always gets expensive, so why not put your favourite childhood game to some use! Build a fort! By dressing office chairs with big cuddly blankets, not only will you be as snug as a bug in a rug bringing a little bit of home with you to the office, you’ll be saving heaps, so more money for the Christmas Party budget. Score!
  2. Love your little piggies – Struggling for Secret Santa ideas? A pair of slippers would work a treat! (If your boss is ok with slippers in the office of course). Wearing shoes that have touched the cold ground outside are the perfect ingredient for creating icicle toes, keep slippers under your desk and melt those little icicles away.
  3. Fingerless Gloves – Don’t you just hate cold hands! Why not invest in some fingerless gloves! They’re affordable and practical!  Chilly fingers whilst typing will be gone in no time!
  4. Tea, Please! – A never ending flow of tea and coffee seems to do the trick! Hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows is ok too we suppose.
  5. Thermals – Ok, Ok so we know they may not be the most tantalising undergarments available, but boy are they warm. Trust us, thermals are your friends!
  6. Strictly for the Guys – Don’t shave until spring! With Movember finishing at the end of last month, why not carry on the charitable spirit a little longer. You’ll raise extra money for a good cause whilst making sure your face keeps warm! Saweeet!

And our personal favourite.......

A steaming hot curry and two tickets to Dubai, that’s assuming you can get out of Heathrow of course!

From all at LA Micro we wish you a fantastic festive season and a very happy new year!!
